I am writing this to share my own healing process. You see I have AIDS & Hep-C. The interesting thing is that I’ve been HIV Positive for 24 & 1/2 years & with Hep-C about 14 years. Of course by the usual statistics I should be dead, but I’m not. I also am a recovering alcoholic/addict, but I think that in our culture we all are. I know people who’s addiction is power, others money and of course sex. These all have the temporary ability of allowing us to have positive feelings or a relieve of bad feelings that are inculcated into our self-believe system, often so early in life that we have no conscious awareness of them. It often is a vague feeling which can become anxiety later on in life(fear). When we indulge in our addictions we have a sense of control, self worth, a suppression of feeling of not being right thus freeing us up to operate at a higher functioning level. There is a cost or hangover of some sort for the indulges our outwardly focus, thus taking the focus off of the vague feeling that something isn’t right about ourselves. When I was 15 I started having stomach problems and off to the doctor I went. He informed me that I had an incipient ulcer. He asked if I drank & I told him that I did. He said to stop, I said no, so he said that I then needed to make sure that I ate something after my drinking, drink only beer for beer was almost health for you. In South America pregnant women drank non-alcoholic beer for it gave them nutrients they normally didn’t eceive. I don’t know if thats true or not I’ve never researched it. He also told me to make sure that I took at least a 500 milligram B complex and 500 to 1,000 milligrams of vitamin C for they were all water soluble and drinking flushes out the vitamins out of the system. Thus he gave me the beginning of learning about doing what was good for my health. My grandmother Grace also played a large part in my being healthy despite of myself. Grandma always loved and cookedÇ lots of vegetables. To this very day fresh broccoli, cauliflower, brussel sprouts and hot yellow chilies are just some of the things. Oh yes my favorite herb cilantro which tastes like fresh spring to me. I recently found out that cilantro detoxifies the body of heavy metals including mercury and aluminum. The wold of Herbs are truly amazing. Chilies have capicin which is a anti-inflammatory, neem which is highly revered in the India Subcontinet has been part of Ayervedic medicine for thousands of years build T-Cells. So many things that we take for granted I’ve been finding out after years of dabbling in many varieties of the spiritual and medical systems of the Far East( If China is the far east, shouldn’t India be the middle east & Arabia, Turkey, Iran, Iraq be the near east- just a thought-what would Jesus say???) Speaking of which it is said that Sir Arthur Fleming was the founder of penicillan & yet 2 to 3 thousand years ago the tribes of the Near!! Middle!! East were using a paste from moldy bread that they rubbed on wounds..!! Interesting how westerners take the credit for everything. As usual I’m all over the map with information, but it is all leading to the Big ? What is Healing & how do we do it? Or do we do it? How do we KNOW that something is Right for Us & somethings are Not Right. You see I believe that Medicine is an Art as well as a Science. It requires our Intuition-Right Brain & our Knowledge-Left Brain which is then processed in our Frontal Cortex also the Seat Of Compassion. Any Doctor who Negates his intuition is nothing more then a mechanic who considers your body as a machine requiring an oil job, a tune up, or a new engine, heart transplants. I believe that God gave us this wonderful body that is self-healing. If we get real quiet we will hear God directing us in our Self- Healing. In AA GOD is an acronym meaning Good Orderly Direction. Free Will is there to listen or not to listen. We go see a Doctor for their knowlege to assist us in the choices that we make or that they say are available to us. Ultimately the Resposibility for Our Health Lies in Our Own Hands. I once had a Doctor who told me that I was the only patient that he had that was pro-active in optimizing my health. Thats sad for Our Health is our Greatest Wealth. Everything else with the exception of our relationship with God & Family (All those You Consider Family) Secondary. Well I got some writing done, so I am Pleased to be share myself with you
